NOTICE OF CHANGE:  INTERNATIONAL AVB BANK CHECKCARD TRANSACTIONS

Beginning July 1, 2011, all international transactions conducted with AVB Bank CheckCards will be blocked due to on-going fraudulent activity.  

If you are planning to travel out of the country, please contact AVB's Customer Accounting Department at 918.251.9611 or customeraccounting@bankavb.com, so that we may unblock your card for the specific time period of your travel.


SOME DEBIT CARD TRANSACTIONS BLOCKED DUE TO FRAUD

We continue to monitor debit card fraud trends and make adjustments to blocked transactions as warranted.  AVB will block the types of AVB CheckCard purchases listed below for customers traveling to the following locations:

1) Arizona: All Wal-Mart stores;
2) Florida: a) Vending machines, b) Public transportation,
    c) Online purchases at Darden/Red Lobster Restaurants
3) New York State: ALL signature-based, card-not-present transactions 
    are blocked; PIN-based, card-present transactions are allowed.

PHISHING (EMAIL SCAM) ALERTS

ACH SCAM

AVB Bank has been made aware of a phishing attack actively underway.  The phishing email appears to be from a NACHA Risk Manager and the email subject line references an ACH Transfer Rejected.  The phishing email instructs the recipient to click a Transaction Report link to view the reason for the ACH transaction rejection.  Please be aware of this issue and be on alert in the event you receive this phishing email.  DO NOT click on any links or open any attachments in any email purported to be from NACHA regarding rejected ACH Transactions.  The link in this latest phishing email will install malicious code or software on a workstation.  Please contact the Bank at (918) 251-9611, if you have any questions or concerns about having received such an email.
